Clinical Waste
We can offer a collection service from any type of health establishment including:
- Hospitals and Nursing Homes
- Clinics and Health Centres
- Vetinary Practices
- Schools
- Surgeries and Dental Practices
- Factory and Works Medical Rooms
A specialised emergency clean up service is available to Local Authorities, Housing Associations or organisations that are presented with a problem that involves Clinical Waste. Specialised teams can remove from your site dangerous items which include syringes, scalpels and swabs, to the highest standards.
All our employees are suitably equipped with protective clothing required for the collection of these types of wastes. Strict procedures are implemented and monitored on a continuous basis. Our vast experience means that we can offer professional advice and expertise ensuring that your obligations under the Duty of Care are fully met.
Low grade radioactive wastes from hospitals which include such items as clothing and syringes can be collected and safely removed from site by our specially trained personnel.
The collection fleet has been specially designed for the safe transportation of your waste. A totally separate compartment holds sharps boxes so that these are not mixed with other wastes.
Most pharmaceutical wastes and some clinical wastes will require Section 62 pre-notification under the Special Waste Regulations. This means that at least 3 working days pre-notification is given to the Environment Agency before the waste can be collected. We are happy to advise if there is any uncertainty.
